CYPF constantly counsel’s teenagers and youths in the CYPF office and sometimes we do counseling at private homes, churches, marketplaces, and schools.
CYPF developed an eBook on the child protection provisions in the cybercrime Act 2015
Our ICT training in 4 public schools on the Airport Road in Abuja has reached more than 300 girls and 100 boys.
CYPF provided Desktop computers for the four schools.
CYPF developed an ICT booklet for the children.
Initiated and facilitated the development of the compendium of laws on child labour and child protection with the support of the Federal ministry of labour and employment with the support of the ILO
CYPF was part of an NGO Forum on the Development of a sustainable referral mechanism for the protection and assistance to trafficked persons in Nigeria, organized by International Organization for Migration and NAPTIP.
CYPF in partnership with other organizations have also printed and distributed 1000 Posters on the Child rights Act 2003.
CYPF facilitated the development of the complimentary report on the 2nd and 3rd Nigerian periodic report to the African Union committee of experts on the rights and welfare of the child with the support from Plan International in 2018. CYPF then led the Nigeria CSOs delegates that presented the complementary report to the Committee of experts in Bamako, Mail.
CYPF have registered about 1000 children in their birth registration programme in partnership with the National Population Commission.
CYPF coordinated the NGOs that were independent monitors in the media campaign program on birth registration by the National population commission supported by UNICEF in 2018.
CYPF was also part of technical working group of the FCT that developed the FCT child protection policy and the service directory for children in the FCT.
Conducted training for school counselors and Vice principals of senior secondary schools in the FCT during the launch of the FCT Anti-bullying policy for senior secondary schools.
CYPF has a WhatsApp’s group called CYPF Crew that has about 250 members, the platform is for awareness creation, online training, and referral of cases regarding children. CYPF have produced and distributed stickers that have child protection messages that are used to create awareness on child protection and education rights. We have produced and distributed about 5000 stickers.
CYPF in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment and the International Labour organization produced a compendium of laws i.e a simplified child labour related laws in Nigeria.
CYPF established four pad banks in four government schools in the F.C.T and had sessions on menstrual hygiene management with over 500 girls.
CYPF partnered with Save The Children International in starting a Girls Led Movement, where girls are given the opportunity to speak about issues that concern them and proffer solutions to these issues.
CYPF partnered with Global funds for children and other organizations in Africa to organize the Adolescent girls, Summit.
Supported the ICT training of children at the New Kuchingoro IDP camp with a desk top computer with the support of Global fund for children.
CYPF conducted her educational support scheme at LEA primary school and JSS Aleyita where 30 students were supported with textbooks, school fees and school uniforms.
CYPF facilitated the process that developed the FCT child protection policy.
Since 2014, CYPF has been supporting girls and boys through our educational support scheme.
Through the support from Global Fund for children (GFC) since 2015, CYPF has supported additional 35 girls in the public primary and secondary schools in Aleyita and Lugbe communities in the FCT and our Lagos office is supporting a girl in school in the Ibafo community of Ogun state.
Awareness creation was carried out on June 12 which is the World Day against child Labour at JSS Lugbe in 2013. 2000 students were reached with the message and 50 staff school were addressed during the programme.
CYPF have carried out the Educational Support Scheme in 5 different schools: JSS Lugbe. JSS Aleyita, LEA Aleyita, GSSS Lugbe and LEA Primary school Paipe and about 250 students have been supported educationally through this scheme. The scheme has also supported some individual students and so far about 45 students have received educational support through the ESS.
CYPF was part of the committee that reviewed the survey report on Youth crimes, Drug, and violence in Nigeria, organized by UNICEF June 2009.
Part of the team for the World bank/Federal government mission for Fadama 3, 2011 to 2013.
CYPF was the coordinating organization for Network of CSOs against child trafficking, abuse, and labour (NACTAL) north central chapter for 6 years.
CYPF was part of the technical working committee that worked on the compilation of the hazardous child labour list for Nigeria which was supervised by the Federal ministry of labour and productivity and funded by ILO in 2013.
CYPF have facilitated many children protection training in schools and religious institutions in Abuja and outside of Abuja.
